Some faces are painted Others remember I have always believed that a face can hide a story long before a word is spoken Perhaps this is why I paint women I am a self-taught artist , but my paintings did not begin with lessons or rules . They began with questions — about women , history , forgotten civilizations , symbols , memory , and the invisible stories that remain when time has erased their names My paintings are not meant to explain everything A woman may appear beside an animal A symbol may seem strangely familiar A word may carry more meaning than it first reveals Nothing is placed there by accident , yet I prefer to leave a door slightly open for the viewer What is behind her eyes ? Why this animal ? Why this symbol ? And what happened before this moment ? I do not always answer I paint the face first , and then I search for the story hiding behind it Sometimes the story belongs to a forgotten time Sometimes it is born from a culture , a legend, a precious stone , an ancient symbol , or simply from something I cannot explain And when the painting is finished , I write its story Not to tell the viewer what to see — but to give them another path into the painting Perhaps a painting should not reveal its secret at first sight Perhaps it should make you want to come closer Welcome to my world 🤍
